Our family enjoys the friendship and fun associated with having the horses and our own farm. My husband claims our friends don't need to own a horse because they have me to supply them with their riding fix! He also claims I am trying to collect "one of every color and breed" which is a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe.
Occasionally you will find a horse or two for sale on our web site. These are well-loved and cared for family horses that we have worked with to train and ultimately find new homes. Our goal is to represent these horses honestly and find them just the right match with a new owner. It is more important to us to match a horse and new owner perfectly than it is to sell the horse for top-dollar or to the first person who makes an offer. We want both the horse and new owner to be safe and happy! Right now you will find outstanding trail horses and one youngster for sale on our web site!
We are easy targets for the hard luck stories and seem to have collected several "charity cases" over the years who will live out their lives with us. Right now we have an older Arabian mare, Mystic, age 24 , who believes she is still a gorgeous young thing (I'm not going to tell her any differently) and is a true pleasure to be around.
Our primary horse activity is trail riding, but we show our gaited horses locally during the summer. We enjoy bringing our Missouri Fox Trotters & Icelandics to shows and on area trail rides, demonstrating what wonderful breeds they are to people who are unfamiliar with these breeds. Many of our friends have now converted to gaited horses, or "The Dark Side" as we call it!
On our web site you will also find a collection of photos of family, friends, and way too many cats and dogs!
Happy riding to you all!
Our family owns an eclectic mix of horses, but our primary focus is trail riding and showing gaited horses. Dave predominantly rides Missouri Fox Trotters, while I prefer the shorter Icelandic horse. After riding Icelandics in Iceland and again on a vacation in the Green Mountains of Vermont I couldn't wait to own one. We now have four as as part of the family!
NEW! Please check out our smooth gaited trail horses for sale.
You won't find a selection like this anywhere else!
